IIT Ropar DRIF Recruitment 2026: Intern (Digital and Media Administration)

IIT Ropar, Defence Research and Innovation Foundation (DRIF) has invited applications for the position of Intern (Digital and Media Administration) on a contract basis. The selected intern will assist the DRIF office with routine office tasks, digital administration and media-related activities.

IIT Ropar DRIF Intern Vacancy 2026

The internship is suitable for candidates with a background in Computer Science, Information Technology or Computer Applications who have an interest in web development, digital administration, social media and IT support.

Educational Qualification

Candidates should have one of the following qualifications:

• B.Tech in Computer Science or related discipline
• B.Sc. in Computer Science or related discipline
• BCA
• Degree in Information Technology or Computer Applications
• Related discipline as specified in the recruitment advertisement

Candidates should also have good working knowledge of computers, MS Office, digital documentation and routine office administration.

Desired Skills

The position requires or prefers candidates with knowledge and practical skills in:

• Office digitisation
• Scanning and indexing
• Digital archiving
• Digital record management
• Website design and content management
• Website updation and maintenance
• Managing website content
• LinkedIn and social media management
• Content preparation and uploading
• HTML, CSS and JavaScript
• Python or other web technologies
• Graphic design
• Digital creatives, posters, banners and presentations
• Basic computer hardware and networking
• Troubleshooting
• Web development
• Digital administration
• Social media management
• IT support

Practical or project experience in web development, digital administration, social media management or IT support will be preferred. Good communication skills, attention to detail and the ability to work independently are also required.

Age Limit

The preferred age limit for candidates is up to 25 years.

Emoluments

The emoluments will be discussed with the applicant.

Job Duration

The internship will initially be for 3 months on probation and may be renewed based on the candidate's performance.
