The State Bank of India (SBI), Central Recruitment & Promotion Department, Corporate Centre, Mumbai, has released the notification for SBI Junior Associate Recruitment 2026, inviting applications from eligible Indian citizens for the post of Junior Associate (Customer Support & Sales) in the clerical cadre. The recruitment is published under Advertisement No. CRPD/CR/2026-27/17, and covers 7,680 regular vacancies plus 1,444 backlog vacancies across 24 States/UTs.

Online registration of application and payment of fees runs from 11.08.2026 to 31.08.2026. Candidates can apply for vacancies in one State/UT only and must be proficient in the specified local language of that State/UT. The Preliminary Examination is tentatively scheduled for September 2026, and the Main Examination for November 2026.

Pay Scale Details

• Pay Scale : Rs.24050-1340/3-28070-1650/3-33020-2000/4-41020-2340/7- 57400-4400/1-61800-2680/1-64480.

• The starting Basic Pay is Rs.26730/- (Rs.24050/- plus two advance increments admissible to graduates).

• EMOLUMENTS : The total starting emoluments of a Clerical Cadre employee payable at Metro like Mumbai will be around Rs.46,000/- per month inclusive of D.A., other allowances at the current rate and two additional increments for newly recruited graduate junior associates.

• Allowances may vary depending upon the place of posting. They will be eligible for reimbursement of various perquisites, provident fund, Pension under New Pension scheme (Defined Contribution Benefit), Medical, Leave-Fare and other facilities, as per instructions of the Bank as may be issued from time to time.

• SBI Junior Associate Recruitment 2026 Documents Required

  • Scanned photograph (recent passport-style colour picture, light/white background, 4.5cm x 3.5cm, 20–50 KB, JPG/JPEG)
  • Scanned signature (signed on white paper with black ink pen, 10–20 KB)
  • Scanned left-hand thumb impression (on white paper with black/blue ink, 3cm x 3cm, 20–50 KB)
  • Scanned hand-written declaration in English (in the prescribed format, 50–100 KB)
  • A live photograph captured via webcam or mobile phone at the time of application
  • One photo identity proof at the time of Preliminary/Main exam - passport, Aadhaar, PAN Card, Driving License, Voter's Card, or Bank Passbook with attested photograph, in original plus a self-attested photocopy
  • 10th or 12th standard mark sheet/certificate evidencing having studied the specified local language, if seeking exemption from the Local Language Proficiency Test
  • Caste certificate (for SC/ST candidates), OBC non-creamy layer certificate, or EWS Income and Asset Certificate, as applicable, to be submitted at the time of joining
  • Discharge certificate from employer, for candidates serving in Government/Quasi-Government offices, PSUs, Nationalised  bank or Financial Institutions, at the time of appointment, if selected.
