Bank of Baroda (BOB) has released the BOB Local Bank Officer Recruitment 2026 notification for the appointment of 2482 Local Bank Officer (LBO) vacancies on a regular basis across 20 states of India. Bank of Baroda has announced a total of 2482 vacancies for the Local Bank Officer post, distributed state-wise across 20 states/UTs. Vacancies include both "New Vacancies" and "Unfilled Vacancies" carried forward from previous LBO recruitment exercises. Candidates can apply for only one state, and the merit list will be drawn state-wise and category-wise.

BOB Local Bank Officer Selection Process

Selection for BOB Local Bank Officer Recruitment 2026 will be based on the following stages:

• Online Test (multiple sections, described below)
• Group Discussion (GD) and/or Personal Interview (PI)
• Psychometric Test and/or any other assessment as deemed suitable by the Bank
• Local Language Proficiency Test (LPT), where applicable

BOB Local Bank Officer Important Instructions

• Candidates can apply for only one state; multiple applications will result in forfeiture of fees for extra registrations.
• No change of category is permitted at any stage after registration of the online application.
• Candidates must possess a valid personal email ID and mobile number, kept active till completion of the recruitment process.
• Candidates are advised to possess or acquire a valid Aadhaar card, as Online Aadhaar verification will be conducted at various stages.
• Biometric data/IRIS scan and photograph will be captured and verified before the online examination, at GD/interview, and at the time of joining.
• Mobile phones, pagers, calculators, or similar devices are not allowed inside the examination premises.
• Selected candidates will be posted within the state applied for the first 12 years of service or until promotion to SMGS-IV grade, whichever is earlier.
• Selected candidates will be on probation for 12 months from the date of joining.
• Selected candidates must execute a Service Bond to serve a minimum of 3 years, or pay an amount equivalent to three months' gross salary (not exceeding Rs. 2 Lakhs) if they leave before completing three years of service.
• Any legal disputes arising from this recruitment fall under the exclusive jurisdiction of courts/tribunals in Mumbai.
